James Cameron announced that he’s pushing back the release date of Avatar 2. Originally the squeal to one of the biggest movies of all time was set for a Christmas of 2016 release. That obviously didn’t happen, neither did the push back of Christmas 2017, and now the director says it’s not even going to see a 2018 release.
In a statement he explained it like this:
“Well, 2018 is not happening. We haven’t announced a firm release date. What people have to understand is that this is a cadence of releases. So, we’re not making Avatar 2, we’re making Avatar 2, 3, 4 and 5. It’s an epic undertaking.”
In the meantime, movie fans, a new trailer for the Wonder Woman origin story is here. Release for that is still set for June 2nd.
