It seems like everyone in pop and rock wants to make a country album these days . . . and that now includes SLIPKNOT singer COREY TAYLOR.
He was talking about his ambitions recently, and he said, quote, “I want to write a book. I want to [effing] work on a screenplay and a comic . . . I want to do a spoken word thing. I want to do an acoustic album. I want to a country album!”
It’s unclear what that would entail, although we’re assuming he wouldn’t wear his Slipknot mask . . . although that would REALLY be something.
Unfortunately, he didn’t give any details about his country ambitions, and for whatever reason, the interviewer didn’t ask a follow-up on that. But Corey did bring up another ambition, which was inspired by his crush on former British boy band singer ROBBIE WILLIAMS.
Quote, “I want to write songs for other people that are so outside of my genre . . . I actually wrote a song for Robbie Williams. I just love [him]. He’s [effing] amazing. He cracks me up, he’s a great entertainer, he’s an amazing singer.
“I love the energy that he’s got. I know that I’ll probably [effing] lose cool points with a few people for that, but I just [effing] love him, I think he’s great.” (???)
