Beck and Chris Martin from Coldplay performed together at a charity event in Malibu on Saturday, in a ‘supergroup’ that also featured Jakob Dylan from The Wallflowers, and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith.
Chad described them as his “new boy band.” The concert was a benefit for the Boys and Girls Club.
They performed “Surfin’ USA” by the Beach Boys, “Comfortably Numb” by Pink Floyd, and “My Hometown” by Bruce Springsteen . . . along with songs by Prince, Ariana Grande, and Beck himself.
They also did “Heart of Gold” by Twenty One Pilots, and that one also featured Chris Martin’s 10-year-old son Moses on lead vocals.
