It was so much fun playing in the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame game last night in St. Mary’s. Team Pat Hentgen took on Team Dennis Martinez and our teams were joined by former players like Darren Fletcher, Jeff Francis, Paul Spoljaric and John Upham. Sportsnet personalities Jackie Redmond and Caroline Cameron joined too. The highlight of the game (aside from getting to play on Pat Hentgen’s team!) was probably when 61 year-old Dennis Martinex stepped up and hit the first pitch he saw well over the left-field fence. Man ‘El Presidente’ still looks great.
Don’t forget there are a ton of things going on on Saturday in St. Mary’s for the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame. The induction is in the afternoon, but the morning is filled with family fun at the Downtown Baseball Family Street Festival.
