An absolutely gigantic congratulations to all involved in the fundraising done at John F Ross Collegiate and Vocational School in Guelph. They set a pretty lofty goal of raising $50,000 for childhood brain cancer research. Then they destroyed that goal, raising $146,994! Not only that, but the money is being match by Brain Canada and the Canadian Cancer Society, bringing the total up to almost $300 grand. Amazing. A lot of the fundraising was done by challenging the high schools in Guelph and by students and teachers offering to shave their heads in exchange for donations.
