Even British Prime Minister DAVID CAMERON got into the act, Tweeting, quote, “I grew up listening to and watching the pop genius David Bowie. He was a master of reinvention, who kept getting it right. A huge loss.”
And WEIRD AL YANKOVIC said what we were all thinking when we heard the news . . . quote, “I feel like the wind has been knocked out of me . . . I was not ready for this. RIP Bowie.”
Shortly before Bowie’s death, LADY GAGA acknowledged his influence on her career, saying, quote, “He is a true, true artist and I don’t know if I ever went, ‘Oh, I’m going to be that way like this,’ or if I arrived upon it slowly, realizing it was my calling and that’s what drew me to him.”
